In the Aether Ltd respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. WHO WE ARE

2. WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
We collect different data depending on how you interact with us:
All website visitors:
o Anonymous usage data (pages visited, device type, approximate location)
o Google Analytics cookies
o Technical data required for the website to function
o Any communications you send to us
When you sign up for any Aether programme (Founders Club, Demo Access, or Product Waitlist), we collect:
o Contact information: name, email address, company name, job title
o Communication preferences and consent records
o Email engagement data (opens, clicks)
Additional data by programme:
Founders Club - Loop Members: General product updates and survey responses
Founders Club - Beta Testers:
o Beta testing feedback, suggestions, and insights
o Activity data related to your testing participation
o The specific nature of beta testing data collection will be explained when the Beta Tester programme becomes active
Demo Access Users:
o Your responses to the Demo access interest question
o Feedback questionnaire responses (zone priorities, barriers, adoption likelihood, comments)
o Video viewing analytics (page views, time spent watching, viewing behaviour)
o Third-party referral information (decision-maker name, title, email, organisation, reason for referral)
Product Waitlist Members:
o Waitlist signup confirmation and date

3. WHY WE USE YOUR DATA AND OUR LEGAL BASIS
Website analytics (Google Analytics): Legitimate interests – We need to understand how our website is used to improve it.
Marketing communications (newsletters, surveys): Consent – You explicitly consent by checking the box on our sign-up form.
Founders Club administration: Legitimate interests – We need to manage our community and demonstrate market demand to investors.
Beta testing activities: We collect and use data based on your agreement to participate in beta testing (Contract) and to improve our product (Legitimate interests).
Demo access and feedback: Legitimate interests – We need to manage Demo access, collect product feedback to improve Aether, and understand market demand. We have assessed that these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
Third-party referrals: Acting on your instruction as data processor – When you provide a decision-maker's contact details and request we send them information, we process that data on your behalf for 30 days.
4. WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
Squarespace: Our website platform stores all form submissions (including Demo access requests and feedback), manages our email communications, and hosts our demonstration videos. Squarespace is US-based. Data transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO.
Google Analytics: Processes anonymous website usage data. Google is US-based and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We do not share your identifiable data with marketing agencies, advertisers, or other commercial partners.
5. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
Active Founders Club members: Retained while you remain subscribed.
After unsubscribe: Removed from mailing list immediately, deleted within 30 days.
Beta Testers: Data related to beta testing activities retained for the duration of your participation and for a reasonable period afterward for product development purposes, typically up to 12 months.
Demo Access Users:
o Your Demo access request data and feedback: Retained until product launch (February 2027) or until you request deletion
o Video viewing analytics: May be retained indefinitely in anonymised form
o Third-party referral data: Retained for 30 days after we send the referral email, then permanently deleted (unless the referred individual independently engages with us)
Anonymous analytics: May be retained indefinitely.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
o Access your personal data
o Correct inaccurate data
o Delete your data
o Restrict or object to processing
o Data portability
o Withdraw consent (by unsubscribing)

7. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
If you join The Loop (Founders Club standard membership) and consent, we will send you newsletters, surveys, and product updates.
If you become a Beta Tester, you may receive additional communications related to beta testing activities.
Unsubscribe: Click the unsubscribe link in any email. This removes you from all Founders Club communications (both Loop and Beta Tester).
8. COOKIES
Our website uses cookies.
Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (security, form submissions). These do not require consent.
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) track how visitors use our website. This data is anonymised. You can control these through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
